Meet our staff  (photo on home page)

front row
FRED BERNS, president.  Marine Corps vet and former Chicago Police Officer. Fred began promoting boxing in Indianapolis in 1968 shortly after moving there. Fred has promoted more than 500 shows personally and and co promoted or assisted in hundreds more throughout the world.

FREDDA BERNS
, Secretary/treasurer.  Fredda is in charge of finances and takes care of paying staff, employees and participants following each event.

back row, left to right
RICK BARTONBACH, security and floor coordinator.  Rick has been with the company since 1999. He makes his real living as an area manager for one of the worlds largest tax preparing firms.

RON WHITE
, ring set up.  Ron has been with the company since 1995 making sure the boxing ring is in the right place at the right time. Ron, an advanced degree Karate Black Belt holder is also a one man backup for uniformed security at our shows.

LORI BOGGS
, championship coordinator.  Lori arranges championship awards and see's to it that the proper people make the presentation and get their pictures taken doing so. Lori and husband Keith own a Peperidge Farm snack food franchise which is operated by Lori.

KEITH BOGGS
, vice president and site coordinator for F & F Berns.  Keith makes certain that the gloves for each bout are where they need to be and that the show starts and ends on time, as well as managing all other facets of the live event.  Keith has been with the company since 1992 and before that was a fifteen year veteran of attending F & F events. He is the owner of Broadripple Martial Arts (broadripplemartialarts.com) and like Ron White holds a Black Belt in Karate and he too can be a one man security force.

SCOTT ROMER
, photographer, has been with the company since 1977 when he was 15 years old. Scott has won numerous awards for his work which is not limited to boxing. He has been summoned to photograph former US presidents, supreme court justices and VIP's too numerous to mention.  Some of his work may be seen at Scottromerphoto.com.  Along the way, Scott has managed to have two professional fights and worked for years as a pro wrestler.

JIM E JAM
, (James Guliford) ring announcer and entertainment.  Jim E, perhaps among the top three ring announcers in the world. He holds the crowd in the palm of his rather large hand, (a task no other major ring announcer has mastered to the degree Jim has), and keeps their undivided attention. Jim E has been with the company since 1995 and has worked televised events on many occasions. He also owns Pro Teez, a custom tee shirt making company.

REGGIE STRICKLAND
, matchmaker.  Reggie holds the world record for having participated in more boxing matches than any fighter in boxing history. In fact, he has had more bouts than the number 2 and number 3 fighters combined. He is quite possibly the most qualified boxing matchmaker in the world, having fought most of the top fighters including many world champions. Reggie's remarkable career has been chronicled  by HBO and ESPN as well as numerous national and world wide publications.

JAKE DECK
, glover and equipment manager.  There has been a member of the Deck family aiding and abetting  F & F show's almost since the beginning.  Jake has been in this position since 1995.

Not pictured:
TONY DELK, associate promoter.  Tony resides in Nashville, TN., where he is in the construction business. Twenty years ago, Delk was a professional prize fighter, boxing exclusively for F & F.  After retiring from boxing, Tony began promoting Pro Rasslin and worked as one of the very popular Fargo Brothers thoughout the South. In 1995, Tony began promoting pro boxing and in 1999 joined up with F & F Berns on many events. Tony also does Mixed Martial Arts and Amateur Elimination Boxing Events, as well as an occasional Country Music event.

RON WINTERMUTE
, in charge of managing the 'front door,' which includes staff and talent entrances as well as ticket takers. Ron wouldn't let 'Mother Theresa' in a building without a ticket. He has been with the company since 1979 and has worked gates for the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers as well as countless other events.

DR. JOHN SCHNEIDER
, ringside physician.  The Doc is one of Indiana's top Ortho doctors and is an owner of a major surgery center and hospital.  Doc has been with F & F since 1994 and is a certified "ringside physician," not to mention he has repaired both of the company presidents knees  over the past several years.

KEITH WHITAKER
, assistant glover. A former amateur and pro boxer, Keith has worked with us for more than 30 years, off and on. Lately he has fallen on hard times, health wise, and has seen limited action on our home shows. Hopefully, Keith will be back at full speed soon.

Our Mission:
To promote professional boxing events that draw crowds.  Our shows have produced most of the record pro boxing attendance in Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois and Indiana over the past 40 years.  We regularly produce shows that draw more than 6,000 fans, something most promoters can't say they've done in a career. We also do shows in venues that hold less than 1,000 fans and have done private shows for as few as 50 guests.  Casino Boats are our specialty and have presented a show on the upper deck of a Casino Riverboat that held less than 200 fans. We have done televised events  in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska,  Missouri, Ohio and West Virginia.

Our History
Fred Berns began his career in boxing promotion in 1968 along with the late Howard Ladin. Berns and Ladin promoted regularly in Indiana and Ohio with very little success for the next 7 years. Ladin gave up boxing and went into concert and theatrical promotions where he lost even more money. Berns as a solo act, began breaking even in 1978 and since that time has promoted hundreds of events, mainly in the Midwest but has been involved in shows throughout the world.
On the occasion of celebrating our 25th anniversary in the boxing business, Fred was named a Kentucky Colonel by the Govornor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and a Sagamore of the Wabash (the highest award possible in Indiana) by former Govornor, now Senator Evan Bayh.
